SevenGrid · Data deletion
Delete my data
Last updated: May 23, 2026 · GDPR Art. 17 (Right to erasure)
How deletion works
SevenGrid is a local-first app: your habit data, reflections, and settings live in an SQLite database exclusively on your device. Beyond that, only anonymized technical data exists, which we can delete on request.
Local data: delete yourself, no request needed
All habit data, weekly reflections, mood values, and app settings live exclusively on your device. You delete them yourself, independent of us:
- Clear app data on Android: Settings → Apps → SevenGrid → Storage → "Clear data". All habits + reflections + settings are gone immediately.
- Uninstall the app: additionally removes the app itself. Same end result.
- Disable Android backup (if enabled): Settings → Google → Backup → remove SevenGrid from the list, so the database isn't restored from your Google Drive backup.
These three steps require no email request. We don't have access to this data anyway.
Cloud data: deletion on request via email
The following anonymized technical data leaves the device and can be deleted by us on request:
| Data type | Stored at | Deletable |
|---|---|---|
| Crash reports (anonymized, no IP, no user ID) | Sentry, EU/Frankfurt | Yes, on request |
| Anonymous app-user ID + Pro purchase record | RevenueCat, USA (EU-US DPF certified) | Yes, on request |
| Google Play purchase history (Pro one-time purchase) | Google Play | Only via your Google account (Play account settings) |
| Invoice / tax records | Stefan Roßkopf · ByteSide.io | Retention required by §147 AO (German tax code, 10 years); not deletable |
How to request deletion
Send a short email:
Suggested email content
- Subject:
Data deletion request - SevenGrid - Your RevenueCat app-user ID (find it in the app under Settings → About → "Diagnostics"). Without this ID we cannot uniquely identify the Pro purchase record.
- Alternative: purchase date + amount of the Pro upgrade, if available.
- Clear statement of what to delete: only crash logs, only RevenueCat record, or both.
What happens after your request
- We confirm receipt within 48 hours.
- Sentry crash logs are deleted (Sentry's default retention is 90 days; we can remove individual events on request).
- The RevenueCat record is removed. Note: this revokes your Pro status; you can reactivate the purchase at any time via the Restore Purchase function in the app and your Google account.
- You'll receive a confirmation email.
- Response no later than 30 days, per GDPR Art. 12 (3).
