Delete my data

Two places, two paths. Whatever lives on your device, you erase yourself, instantly, no request needed. The few anonymized technical bits held by my service providers, I erase for you on request.

On your device: instant, no request

SevenGrid is a local-first app: every habit, weekly reflection, mood value, note, and setting sits in an SQLite database on your device, never on a server of mine. Three ways to wipe it, none of which involve me:

1. In the app: Settings → Data → "Delete all data". Irreversibly removes all habits, entries, reflections, notes, values, skipped days, and settings; the app asks for confirmation first.
2. Clear app data from the system (Android): Settings → Apps → SevenGrid → Storage → "Clear data". Same outcome, done by the system. iOS has no equivalent; deleting the app (step 3) is the system route there.
3. Uninstall the app: also removes the app itself. On an iPhone pick "Delete App", not "Offload App": offloading keeps the data.

If you use the automatic CSV backup (Android): those backup files live in a folder you picked and are designed to survive an uninstall. For a truly complete wipe, delete that folder too; the app shows which folder you chose under Settings → Data. iOS has no automatic backup; anything you exported through the share sheet lives wherever you saved it, the Files app for instance, and is deleted there.

iCloud Backup on an iPhone: an iPhone with iCloud Backup switched on keeps a copy of the habit database in the backup stored in your Apple Account, and a wipe inside the app does not reach that copy until the next backup overwrites it. To remove it from the backup too, open Apple Account → iCloud → iCloud Backup → this iPhone and switch SevenGrid off; iOS then offers to delete the app's data from iCloud. That backup is Apple's alone, I cannot see or touch it.

Before you wipe: if you want to keep your data, export it first via Settings → Data → "Export data" (CSV per data type, or everything as one JSON file).

None of this needs an email request. I could not touch this data even if I wanted to.

On my side: deletion by email request

Only the following technical data ever leaves the device or comes into being when you contact me. Whatever I can delete, I delete on request:

How to request deletion

What helps me match your data

• Your RevenueCat app-user ID (in the app under Settings → Feedback → "Copy diagnostic info", line RC-ID). Without it I cannot uniquely identify the Pro purchase record.
• Alternative: purchase date + amount of the Pro upgrade, if available.
• Say briefly what should go: only crash logs, only the RevenueCat record, the support emails, or everything.

What happens after your request

1. I confirm receipt within 48 hours.
2. Sentry crash logs are deleted (Sentry retention is at most 90 days anyway; individual events I remove right away on request).
3. The RevenueCat record is removed. Note: this drops Pro from your device; the purchase itself stays in your Google or Apple account and can be brought back any time via "Restore purchase" in the app.
4. If you wish, I also delete our email correspondence once the request is closed.
5. You get a confirmation email; everything is completed within 30 days at the latest, as GDPR Art. 12 (3) requires.

Rather not have it collected at all?

Crash reports can be switched off entirely in the app: Settings → Data → "Anonymous crash reports". From then on, nothing new reaches Sentry, no request needed. The app privacy policy has the details.
