Right of Withdrawal

Need the money back fast? For a purchase through Google Play, Google handles both the payment and the refund. If the purchase is younger than 48 hours, the store itself is usually your quickest route: Google Play → Orders & refunds often settles it on the spot. Anything older than that is a simple email to us, and the statutory 14-day right below stays yours either way.

Bought on the Apple App Store? Your contract is with Apple, and Apple runs the payment as well as the refund. The purchase never reaches us, so we have no way to give the money back. Use Apple’s “Report a Problem” page within 14 days: reportaproblem.apple.com. Everything below concerns purchases made through Google Play.

Changed your mind about a SevenGrid purchase (the “Pro” unlock)? German and EU consumer law give you a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, and this page collects everything you need to use it: the formal instructions and a form you can send as-is. One thing to check first: where did you buy? Through Google Play, the seller is ByteSide.io and this page is for you. On the Apple App Store, the seller is Apple, so the withdrawal happens there instead, as the note above explains. Where the two language versions differ, the German page is the binding one.

Withdrawal instructions

The wording below follows the model instructions in Annex I(A) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Stefan Roßkopf · ByteSide.io, Anemonenweg 7, 89547 Gerstetten, Germany, email: hello@sevengrid.app) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. As payment is processed through Google Play, the reimbursement is issued via Google Play.

When the right of withdrawal ends early

There is one exception that matters for digital purchases: the right of withdrawal can end before the 14 days are up. It does so as soon as we begin delivering the digital content, provided that two things were true at that moment:

  1. you had expressly asked us to start before the withdrawal period ends, and
  2. you had confirmed that you knew this start would cost you your right of withdrawal.

In practice this rarely bites: the free version of SevenGrid keeps working indefinitely, everything runs locally on your device, and nothing is charged until you actively choose to buy Pro.
